Description
In the spirit of Château Mouton Rothschild, Weingut Georg Breuer annually invites an internationally renowned artist to design the label for its Berg Schlossberg Grosses Gewächs wine. The 2022 label, released in March this year, was created by Rotterdam-based artist Martijn van Berkum. Berg Schlossberg is a world-famous wine, and both this cuvée and its current owner, Theresa Breuer, have received numerous awards.

About the Art Label
In his design for the label, Van Berkum responds to the winemaking philosophy and style of Breuer. The wines are known for their pure expression of terroir – the unique character of the vineyard – and are always recognizable for their intense, precise, and elegant style. This is depicted in a watercolor illustration reminiscent of a system of roots and branches, where earthy and plant-like colors blend at the center of the drawing.
